- MondayTuesday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- WednesdayThursday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to support both front and back office operations in a clinical setting. This role involves direct patient care administrative support and phlebotomy services ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients ensuring a positive patient experience
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection
- Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
- Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Answer phones and handle patient communications
- Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems
- Support both clinical and administrative tasks as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient operations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship)
- 23 years of overall healthcare or clinical experience preferred
- Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
- EMR (Electronic Medical Records) experience required
- BLS or CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred
- Occupational Health experience preferred
Required Skills & Competencies
- Front and back office clinical experience
- Strong phlebotomy and specimen collection skills
- Experience with EKG and point-of-care testing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in computer systems and EMR platforms
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
