Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to support both front and back office operations in a clinical setting. This role involves direct patient care administrative support and phlebotomy services ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Responsibilities
Greet and room patients ensuring a positive patient experience
Take and record vital signs accurately
Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection
Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
Answer phones and handle patient communications
Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems
Support both clinical and administrative tasks as needed
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient operations
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship)
23 years of overall healthcare or clinical experience preferred
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
EMR (Electronic Medical Records) experience required
BLS or CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred
Occupational Health experience preferred
Required Skills & Competencies
Front and back office clinical experience
Strong phlebotomy and specimen collection skills
Experience with EKG and point-of-care testing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and organizational abilities
Proficiency in computer systems and EMR platforms
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
