Role Overview
We are seeking licensed detail-oriented and patient-focused Pharmacists to support daily pharmacy operations. The ideal candidates will be responsible for accurate dispensing of medications patient counseling regulatory compliance and maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care and customer service in a fast-paced retail/community pharmacy setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Dispensing & Patient Care
- Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications.
- Review and validate prescriptions for legality completeness and appropriateness.
- Provide professional counseling on medication usage dosage side effects and drug interactions.
- Conduct Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and basic health checks (e.g. blood pressure blood glucose).
2. Clinical & Technical Duties
- Assess prescriptions for therapeutic compatibility and safety.
- Document clinical interventions in line with pharmacy standards.
- Ensure proper storage handling and documentation of medications including controlled substances.
3. Operational Management
- Oversee daily pharmacy workflow and ensure efficient service delivery.
- Maintain accurate patient prescription and financial records.
- Manage inventory including stock control procurement and expiry monitoring.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain a clean organized and professional pharmacy environment.
4. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Pharmacists Council of Nigeria National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control and all statutory requirements.
- Maintain controlled drug registers and proper documentation.
- Stay updated on new medications clinical guidelines and regulatory policies.

- Prescription Accuracy: 98% (zero tolerance for errors)
- Customer Wait Time: < 5 minutes
- Inventory Variance: < 3% monthly
- Patient Counseling Rate: 90%

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy () from a recognized institution.
- Valid practicing license with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.
- 24 years experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of medications supplements and drug interactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage inventory and supervise staff.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems is an added advantage.
