Location: Hyannis MA (02601)
Job Type: Travel Contract
Schedule & Shift Details
- 40 hours per week
- Rotating shifts: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM or 4:00 PM 12:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Occasional holiday coverage
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist with ultrasound experience to join a dynamic clinical this role you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and adherence to radiation protection and clinical standards. You will work under the direction of senior leadership and play a key role in delivering accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Imaging Duties
- Perform radiographic and ultrasound procedures following established safety and quality standards
- Prepare patients and imaging equipment for procedures
- Select appropriate transducers based on exam requirements
- Position patients and use immobilization techniques for optimal imaging
- Review patient history and physician orders to support diagnostic accuracy
- Evaluate images for quality proper identification and labeling
- Assist physicians with specialized procedures including ultrasound-guided interventions and biopsies
Patient Care
- Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Monitor patient condition and provide support throughout procedures
- Maintain patient safety dignity and confidentiality at all times
Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate imaging records and documentation
- Ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of studies
- Coordinate equipment supplies and maintenance needs
- Follow infection control safety and hospital protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Professional Development
- Participate in ongoing education and training
- Maintain required certifications and continuing education
- Stay updated on best practices and departmental policies
- Uphold professional and ethical standards
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (JRCERT)
- ARRT registered or registry eligible
- Active Massachusetts state licensure required
- BLS certification required
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
