Bon Secours Hospital Cork is Irelands largest private hospital. Established in 1915 the Hospital has 343 beds employs over 1000 staff and cares for more than 100000 patients per annum. It is an acute general hospital providing an extensive range of medical and surgical specialities for both adults and children including Oncology Cardiology Orthopaedics Gastroenterology General Surgery and Radiotherapy Services.
Bon Secours Hospital Cork is a teaching hospital of UCC thereby making a significant contribution to the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in medicine nursing and allied health professions. The Hospital is proud to hold many quality accreditations including JCI INAB and ESMO.
We are now inviting applications for the position of Senior Physiotherapist Oncology.
Post: Full-time Permanent position.
Hours of work: To be confirmed at offer stage.
Essential Eligibility Criteria:
- The ideal candidate will possess the required qualifications for a Senior Physiotherapist.
- Member of CORU is essential.
- Post graduate qualification in Oncology is desirable.
- Have at least 3 years post graduate experience with 2 years relevant to oncology in an acute hospital.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in technology and quality practices.
- Be competent innovative reliable enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Excellent planning & organizational skills.
Role Responsibilities of the post include and are not limited to:
- Perform routine work to the highest standard as determined.
- The post will cover Oncology wards mainly seeing inpatients and day cases.
- It also includes orthopaedic & respiratory weekends.
