The role
This is a hands-on role where you will lead injury management and return-to-work outcomes across Huon.
Youll partner closely with leaders employees and external stakeholders to ensure injuries are managed proactively compliantly and with care - driving both strong people outcomes and operational continuity.
Reporting to the Head of Safety & Wellbeing you will:
- Lead end-to-end injury management and return-to-work processes across multiple sites
- Act as a trusted advisor coaching leaders to confidently manage injury and RTW outcomes
- Partner with employees treating practitioners and insurers to support safe and sustainable recovery
- Ensure timely reporting claims management and legislative compliance
- Analyse trends and claims data to identify risks and drive continuous improvement
- Champion our We Care Early Intervention program
About you
Youre experienced pragmatic and confident influencing at all levels. You balance compliance with care and focus on achieving meaningful outcomes - not just managing process.
To be successful you will bring:
- Proven experience in injury management and return-to-work ideally in a complex or multi-site environment
- A relevant qualification in RTW WHS allied health or a related discipline
- Strong working knowledge of workers compensation and injury management frameworks
- Experience coaching leaders and managing sensitive or complex situations
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and drive accountability
- Experience using data and insights to improve performance and outcomes
- A current drivers licence and willingness to travel within Tasmania as required
