Key job responsibilities
This is an impactful role within Prime Video (PV) Commerce Analytics supporting major PV investments in 2026. As a Data Engineer you will work in one of the worlds largest and most complex data warehouse environments designing and implementing scalable data infrastructure solutions that integrate multiple heterogeneous data sources.

You will leverage AWS big data technologies including Redshift EMR/Spark Andes Data Lake and native AWS services to build and maintain data pipelines that ingest data from Video Commerce Digital Commerce Prime and Device Platform teams. Your curated datasets will serve 50 downstream teams for reporting analysis machine learning models and ad-hoc requests.

You will build high-performing scalable data products that directly enable data-driven decision making across Prime Video.

Key responsibilities include:
Design complex data pipelines and models powering subscription transaction and device registration datasets
Deliver scalable data solutions on native AWS infrastructure
Develop data quality validation frameworks and monitoring solutions ensuring data integrity and timeliness
Build and optimize batch and near real-time processing workflows using Spark Redshift and Andes
Create robust orchestration and monitoring for workflows with complex dependencies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to onboard new data sources


About the team
The team is primarily based in Seattle with additional presence in New York and London. A data-driven organization focused on Prime Videos growth and commerce analytics with strong representation in business intelligence data engineering and product management functions supporting Prime Videos commercial and analytical needs.

Cross-functional team building intelligent systems that integrate content and data to deliver personalized customer experiences across streaming live events and emerging formats.

- 3 years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL

- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift S3 AWS Glue EMR Kinesis FireHose Lambda and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage document or key-value stores graph databases column-family databases)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
