Certified Surgical Technician Oral Surgery Clinic (Travel Assignment)
Location: New York NY 10003
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 11:00 AM 7:00 PM 37.5 hours/week (5 days/week)
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to support surgeons and residents in an oral surgery clinic and ambulatory operating/procedure room setting. The technician will provide comprehensive chair-side and sterile field assistance to ensure safe efficient and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Escort patients to surgical chairs and perform pre-procedure screening
- Review patient medical records to ensure completeness and procedure readiness
- Provide consistent four-handed assistance during surgical procedures
- Prepare organize and maintain sterile surgical instruments trays and equipment
- Ensure all surfaces countertops and equipment are properly cleaned and disinfected prior to setup
- Assist in taking radiographs before during and after procedures as required
- Monitor patient vitals and support clinicians with suctioning instrument passing and medication assistance
- Break down procedure rooms dispose of medical waste and reset operatory areas
- Restock and manage surgical supplies and inventory
- Respond promptly and effectively to clinical emergencies as needed
Required Qualifications
- NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience (5 years preferred) in surgical or dental/oral surgery settings
- Strong clinical communication skills (written and verbal)
Education
- Associates Degree required
