Job Summary
How Will You Make an Impact
As a CMM Technician at our Auburn Hills MI facility you will ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality through precise inspection activities. You will operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to evaluate manufactured components analyze inspection data and support manufacturing and engineering teams in resolving quality issues. Your expertise will directly support product compliance process improvement and customer satisfaction.

Onsite at our Auburn Hills MI facility.
What Will You Do
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PCDMIS software to perform automated inspections.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine inspection requirements and develop inspection plans.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and inprocess quality control inspections on parts and assemblies.
- Analyze inspection results to identify trends deviations and potential quality concerns.
- Collaborate with Engineering Quality and Production teams to resolve measurement discrepancies and improve processes.
- Maintain accurate inspection records reports and related quality documentation.
- Apply independent judgment to troubleshoot CMM programs inspection challenges and measurement issues.
- Maintain an organized clean and efficient inspection area that supports workplace safety and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
How Will You Get Here
Education & Experience
- Technical training associate degree or equivalent handson experience preferred.
- Proven experience operating and programming CMM equipment preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency with PCDMIS or comparable CMM programming software.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and GD&T.
- Experience performing FAI QA inspections and inprocess quality inspections.
- Solid data analysis skills with the ability to interpret measurement results.
- Demonstrated independent decisionmaking and problemsolving capabilities.
- Highly organized detailoriented and committed to maintaining an orderly work area.
- Strong selfmanagement timemanagement and selfmotivation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
