Job Title: RN Med/Surg Telemetry
Location: Cleveland OH
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 312 Hour Rotating (Day/Night)
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit supporting patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring including post-operative and urology cases. The role involves delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry systems
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians interdisciplinary teams and support staff
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans medications and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR documentation)
- Follow hospital policies infection control protocols and safety standards
- Participate in shift handoffs care planning and team communication
- Provide ongoing care and monitoring for post-operative and urology patients
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel assignments
- Active Ohio RN License or Compact State RN License
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work rotating day/night shifts
Certifications (Required)
- BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
