Internship – Data & Analytics (Milwaukee, WI)

About the Role:

This Data & Analytics Intern will work closely with experienced data and analytics professionals on Bairds Global Investment Banking (GIB) business to transform complex data into actionable insights that support senior leadership and stakeholders. Through hands-on analytics reporting and data governance work interns gain practical exposure to enterprise tools and real-world decision-making in a high-performing financial services environment. This intern will gain firsthand insight into how analytics support Investment Banking strategy and execution.

This is a hybrid internship offering flexibility to work Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday in our downtown Milwaukee WI office and Monday and Friday remote. The intern must be able to work full-time during the summer 37.5-40 hours per week.

The Impact Youll Make:

• Support senior leadership and Investment Banking stakeholders by delivering accurate well-structured analytics and reporting

• Help bridge the gap between raw data and actionable insights through Power BI reporting and data modeling

• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable BI solutions

• Contribute to data governance documentation and quality assurance efforts to ensure trusted reporting

• Assist in enabling business users through training guidance and self-service reporting support

• Leverage AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve analytics workflows and productivity

What Youll Bring to Baird:

• Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Data Analytics Business Analytics Computer Science or a related field

• Anticipated graduation date of May 2027 or later

• Experience building reports in Power BI Desktop including foundational DAX

• Experience writing SQL queries for data analysis

• Ability to responsibly utilize AI-assisted tools to troubleshoot DAX/SQL and automate routine BI tasks where appropriate

• Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse platforms

• Exposure to data governance concepts and best practices

• Understanding of data modeling concepts including fact and dimension tables and relationships

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work
