Quality Engineer

The Job:

• Drive the quality influence and develop the quality system in the early stages of NPI e.g. EVT where the customized APQP qualification process should be applied
• Drive the definition implementation and execution of quality plans for new and existing 3D printing hardware product.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering Product Management Operations) to ensure seamless product development and launch.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners (CM/JDM) to establish quality control processes and ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the supply chain
• Develop the sub-tier suppliers qualification process
• Analyze data lead DOE identify root causes of failures and drive corrective actions with engineering manufacturing and CM/JDMs.
• Lead failure analysis investigations and implement robust corrective and preventive actions (SCAR).
• Lead the development and improvement of quality management systems and processes from scratch.
• Champion quality throughout the organization and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

You:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Industrial or related field). Overseas degree is a big plus
• 8 years of experience in hardware quality engineering preferably in consumer electronics robotics or a related industry. Experience with complex electromechanical systems is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis data interpretation and problem-solving techniques. A six sigma green/black belt is a big plus.
• Experience with JMP Minitab or other statistical software is a must Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. IATF) and quality tools (e.g. FMEA Control Plans).
• Startup mindset and willingness to do hands-on work in a highly dynamic environment
• Ownership and self-motivated is a big plus
• Up to 40% travel most in Pearl River Delta
• Excellent English capability - speaking listening reading and writing
