As an CI Engineer in Suzhou You work as a member of a collaborative continuous improvement team with a demonstrated expertise in process engineering and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma. Full responsibility for the identification development implementation of cost savings initiatives. Individual should be capable of both leading teams and teaching others various CI methodologies. Accountable to ensure projects provide defined and measurable savings on time and budget.

Essential Job Functions:

• 40% - Demonstrates scientific/technical leadership by becoming process expert in assigned processes including understanding the chemistry and physical properties the process steps incl equipment operation process limitations costs and usage & yield.
• 25% - Technical project member from development through commercialization including organization of project communication of milestones/timelines/costs plans experimental lab work. Collects summarizes analyses interdependent and complex data and takes conclusions based on data and makes presentations as appropriate to disseminate best practice throughout the function. Responsible for the leadership and management of small projects.
• 25% - Works closely with Operations and Engineering to define testing data collection and analysis for improving operational efficiency output and safety for both short term and long term objectives. Work in manufacturing plant laboratory and pilot plant environments as needed.
• 10% - Anticipation evaluation and implementation of trends and innovations in the area of expertise to deliver better performing solutions. Gives input to decisions for implementation of new technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor Degree and above majoring in Chemical Engineering is preferred;
• Trained with demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas Lean Six Sigma Operational Discipline OEE and Six Sigma;
• Good understanding of procedures and concepts within own discipline;
• Sound problem solving skills in the field of own discipline developed communication skills to exchange complex information; team player;
• Written and oral communication in English;
• Entrepreneurial reliable flexible convincing can handle uncertainty able to withstand stress accurate strong customer focus.
