Our client is seeking a Senior Program Manager to support initiatives within the Patients Before Paperwork (Pb4P) Prescriptions Portfolio a province-wide digital health transformation program.
This role focuses on modernizing prescription workflows by replacing fax-based processes with secure digital solutions. The Senior Program Manager will lead and coordinate multiple ePrescribing initiatives working closely with clinicians pharmacies and internal digital health teams to ensure successful delivery coordination and adoption across the healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee multiple projects within the ePrescribing program ensuring alignment with overall portfolio objectives
Develop and maintain program status reports dashboards and executive-level updates
Manage project scope schedules budgets risks issues and dependencies across concurrent initiatives
Coordinate with internal teams including Identity & Access Management (ONE ID) registry teams (PPR PCR) and the Digital Health Drug Repository (DHDR)
Collaborate with clinical organizations pharmacies and healthcare stakeholders to gather requirements and support informed decision-making
Identify assess and proactively manage program risks and issues escalating as required
Support stakeholder engagement and change adoption throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure project documentation is accurate complete and maintained in designated repositories
Build and sustain strong working relationships with internal and external partners
Must-Have Qualifications
8 10 years of experience managing electronic health or healthcare IT projects ideally involving clinical or pharmacy systems
8 10 years of hands-on project management experience across scope schedule risk quality and governance
5 6 years of experience working with prescription or medication workflows within hospitals provincial agencies or pharmacy environments
5 6 years of experience managing large multi-project programs in complex healthcare settings
Experience working within matrixed organizations
Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience engaging senior leaders and executives
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against tight timelines
Ability to work onsite in Ontario as required under a hybrid work model
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
PMP or equivalent project management certification
Experience with pharmacy management systems or prescribing and dispensing platforms
Familiarity with healthcare IT delivery approaches (Waterfall Agile or hybrid)
Experience supporting large-scale health system implementations or deployments
Background in change management workflow analysis or business process improvement
Experience in the public sector or broader healthcare ecosystem
