Job Summary

Come join Hilton Vancouver Washington as a General Maintenance team member centrally located in the heart of Vancouver Washington with easy access to Portland International Airport. Featuring 226 rooms the hotel is within walking distance to the gorgeous waterfront as well as to local bustling attractions such as the Vancouver Farmers Market (directly across the street from the hotel) making us an excellent base for both leisure and business travel.

The ideal candidate:
At least 18 years of age or over.
2-year hands on building maintenance experience.
Drywall and Painting experience ideal.
Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
Flexible scheduling availability.

Shift Pattern: Varied AM PM (7:00am 11:30pm) weekdays weeknights weekends and holidays needed; shifts will be dependent on business levels and seniority scheduling.

Pay Rate: $21.01 and based on applicable and specialized experience and location

What will I be doing

As an Engineer you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the facility in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility including but not limited to guest rooms public space and heart-of-house areas.
  • Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.
  • Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including but not limited to carpentry plumbing electrical work painting HVAC work and masonry.
  • Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs.
  • Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
