Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer the Vice President Procurement is responsible for the overall procurement strategy planning and management of TC Transcontinentals sourcing activities. The role plays a critical part in ensuring the availability of raw materials cost optimization supplier quality and reliability risk management and the continuous improvement of procurement processes while supporting performance compliance and sustainability objectives across the organization.

We are looking for a leader who is energized by creating value where things are not yet perfectly structured. Someone who has built transformed or meaningfully evolved a procurement function in real complex multisite environments and who takes pride in tangible lasting impact. This role is suited to a person who combines strategic thinking with handson judgment who is comfortable working with imperfect data partnering closely with operations and influencing without relying on hierarchy.

Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

  • Develop and implement the overall procurement strategy in alignment with operational priorities and business objectives.
  • Lead develop and engage procurement and category management teams while establishing strong governance over purchasing processes across operations.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track results performance and continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate strategic agreements with key suppliers and ensure the performance and effectiveness of longterm partnerships.
  • Establish robust supplier selection evaluation and monitoring processes.
  • Optimize procurement costs while ensuring quality reliability and continuity of supply.
  • Work closely with production quality and logistics teams to anticipate needs and resolve supplyrelated issues.
  • Manage supply chain risks including source diversification business continuity regulatory compliance and ESG criteria.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives operational innovation and digital transformation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement including at least 5 years in a leadership role ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • University degree in Operations Management Engineering Business Administration or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with expertlevel Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of business intelligence (BI) and AIenabled tools.
  • Solid understanding of process optimization methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Experience in financial management and structured problemsolving.
  • Strong capabilities in negotiation strategic leadership and change management.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic complex environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to manage strong internal and external business partnerships.
  • Professional proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written) is required with French being essential for daytoday operations and collaboration with teams partners and stakeholders based in Quebec.
