Join our Global Technology Governance & Control team!

Governance & Control (G&C) serves as the first line of defense within our Global Technology organization focusing on managing non-financial risk. We work closely with leadership to shape risk culture set strategies and provide the necessary tools insights andexpertisefor confident risk-aware decision-making. Our efforts support both Technology and Enterprise strategies as we continue to transform and grow.


Position Responsibilities:

As aManager in Governance & Control you will play a pivotal role in shaping risk management across the Global Technology Function. Your responsibilities will be dynamic strategic and aimed at the future. Here is an overview of your impact:

Build the Foundations:Help define themethodologyand approach for risk and control activities ensuring alignment with risk management standards and consistency in execution. Take ownership of procedures lead training initiativesmaintaina roadmap for improvement opportunities and monitor and report on program execution.

Spot the Signals:Develop andmonitorkey performance control and risk indicatorsidentifytrends and recommend improvements in risk management processes.Establishand execute action plansfor continuous improvement.

Integrate AI in Risk Processes:Identifyopportunities toleverageAI to streamline risk control and regulatory activities enabling more efficient and intelligent operations. Participate in the Global Risk AI Forum conducting evaluations of AI tools for governance and risk managementestablishingrequirements conductingtestingand preparing implementation plans.

Automate with Purpose:Seek out and prioritize opportunities to automate risk management processes overseeing their development and implementation.

Stay Ahead of Regulations:Support regulatory initiatives by conducting impact assessments horizon scanning and control mapping.Measure and report on regulatory compliance identify gaps and drive remediation plans to completion.

Lead the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Program:Direct the RCSA Community of Practiceestablishguidancefor RCSA executionmonitorand report on programdeliveryin line with the enterprise RCSA Methodology.Perform quality reviews on completed RCSAs. Work with leaders across Technology toidentifyopportunities to simplify and automate controls.

Data Quality:Monitorthe quality ofrisk and control data in our GRC tool in alignment withthe risk management data model.Identifygapscommunicate procedures forremediationand track progress to completion. Report ondata quality creating confidence in risk posture measurement for decision-making.

Keep Us on Track:Contribute toweekly and monthly reporting through scorecards dashboards trackers and summaries.Maintain roadmapsand project plans highlighting progress againstpriorities aligned to the Technology and broader enterprise strategies.

Be a Global Voice:Represent the team in global forums leadership meetings offsites and conferences sharing insights and helping to shape strategy.

Required Qualifications:

We are seeking a sharp strategic thinker with a passion for risk and the readiness to lead. You do not have to meet every qualification but if you have many of the following and are eager to develop further we encourage you to apply:

  • 35 years of progressive experience in Operational Risk Management Business Resilience Regulatory Compliance or Audit within a global complex corporate environment.

  • A professional accounting designation (CPA preferred) and a university degree in Business Engineering or related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience in project management executing risk strategies and collaborating across functions.

  • Hands-on experience with GRC tools (Archer preferred) and a solid understanding of risk frameworks and control standards.

  • Expertise in risk methodologies control design and audit best practices.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts and tell compelling stories with data.

  • Strong analytical mindset creativity in problem-solving and the ability to influence decisions and drive continuous improvement.

  • Comfortable working across global time zones and engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Salary range is expected to be between

$113000.00 CAD - $163000.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training.
