Position: Marketing Coordinator Operations & Administration

Employment Type:Contract 16 months

Compensation Details:

  • Administration 12: Salaries typically range from $46 389 to $61 852 annually based on qualifications and experiences.

Location:

  • Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment with a current requirement of two in-office days per week increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change).
  • This role can be performed from EDCs headquarters in Ottawa.

Team Overview:

Export Development Canada (EDC) is looking for a Marketing Coordinator Operations & Administration to play a key enabling role within the Marketing organization. This position provides trusted administrative support to the Vice President of Marketing while helping ensure the day today operations of the Marketing team run smoothly and efficiently.

In this role you will be at the centre of Marketings operational rhythmsupporting leadership priorities coordinating activities across the team and working closely with internal partners and external agencies. You are highly organized proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fastpaced collaborative environment. You bring strong judgment a serviceoriented mindset and the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems before they escalate.

What you will be doing:

You will provide executivelevel administrative support to the Vice President of Marketing and extended leadership team including managing calendars and meetings coordinating logistics tracking followups and supporting travel and expense processes. You will also support the broader Marketing team by coordinating meetings town halls and events; maintaining SharePoint sites and distribution lists; and supporting onboarding and offboarding for employees and consultants.

A core part of the role involves coordinating with external agencies and internal partners such as Finance Procurement and IT. You will support agency onboarding and access assist with invoicing and accruals help track budgets and expenses and ensure processes align with EDC policies. You will also contribute to team engagement initiatives support Marketing and corporate events and collaborate across the organization to enable shared outcomes.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in an administrative coordinator or operations support role
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong followthrough
  • Clear professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across teams and with senior leaders
  • Comfort supporting financial and administrative processes including invoicing accruals and budget tracking
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook Teams SharePoint Excel and Word
  • Demonstrated ability to use generative artificial intelligence technologies (e.g. Copilot ChatGPT or equivalent tools) responsibly to improve efficiency quality and productivity

What will make you stand out:

  • Experience supporting Marketing Communications or agency based teams
  • Event management experience
  • Experience coordinating calendars meetings events and information management in a complex organization
  • Familiarity with procurement and financial systems such as ERPs (including procuretopay (P2P) SAP or Oracle)
  • Strong business acumen customerservice mindset and ability to work independently
  • Bilingualism (English/French) or willingness to continue developing secondlanguage skills
