As Project Engineering Manager (all genders) you are responsible for leading and coordinating all engineering activities for the project or assigned work package ensuring delivery in line with quality cost and schedule objectives. You oversee design planning engineering budget follow-up technical coordination and execution of engineering tasks performed internally or by suppliers and subcontractors while ensuring that technical solutions are optimized compliant with customer expectations and delivered according to the overall project schedule.You are accountable for the performance of engineering activities in terms of quality timeliness and efficiency in alignment with the project strategy defined by the Project complex or multi-unit projects you ensure overall technical coordination across multiple interfaces support design change management and contribute to the successful execution of projects with significant customer business technical and commercial impact.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all engineering activities for the project or assigned work package ensuring alignment with project scope schedule budget quality requirements and overall execution strategy.
- Manage engineering planning and delivery including scope definition drawing and document submission planning workload coordination schedule follow-up and timely resolution of critical issues or design changes.
- Coordinate technical interfaces with customers partners suppliers third parties and internal functions such as procurement construction commissioning and project management to ensure consistency and effective execution.
- Drive design review activities co-engineering sessions risk assessment and implementation of mitigation plans while supporting project strategy engineering change management and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with customer technical requirements by managing clause-by-clause analysis technical queries comments resolution exceptions tracking and customer acceptance throughout the design process.
- Oversee document and configuration management including input data evolution document submissions comment resolution return status tracking deviations management and consistency of engineering deliverables before final release.
- Support procurement and supplier management activities through technical specifications offer evaluations supplier documentation follow-up FAT preparation and participation and technical coordination with partners and key suppliers.
- Contribute to construction and site support activities by involving construction teams in design reviews supporting constructability analysis and coordinating inputs for O&MM and as-built documentation.
- Promote continuous improvement through return of experience activities knowledge capitalization KPI implementation use of engineering tools and processes and monitoring of engineering performance indicators.
- Ensure full compliance with quality health safety and environmental requirements demonstrate EHS leadership and foster a culture of accountability safe behaviors and operational discipline within the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical education.
- Significant experience in engineering and project execution within EPC-type environments preferably in Transmission & Distribution Power Generation or Oil & Gas.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering activities across medium-complexity projects with multiple technical and organizational interfaces.
- Strong understanding of engineering processes project planning technical coordination risk management and customer and supplier interactions.
- Fluent in English.
- Good knowledge of transmission or distribution industry environments project execution risks and financial processes.
- Willingness to travel internationally and work in different locations for short or medium periods.

- Experience in a Project Engineering Manager or similar technical leadership role across several projects.

- Strong team coordination relationship-building influencing and communication skills.
- Solid technical problem-solving capability and sound judgment in project execution.

- Demonstrated ownership accountability leadership presence and ability to drive execution in complex environments.
