Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated HSE Advisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This is a 12-month FIFO role based in Pilbara WA.

The primary purpose is to contribute to the HSE teams goals to influence positive attitudes and behaviours that foster a positive safety culture ensure continuous improvement and good corporate governance.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing technical advice and coaching including safety leadership risk management HSE systems incident investigation inspection and monitoring training.

• Conduct audits of project operations the HSE Management System and its implementation for compliance and continuous improvement.

• Assist with the implementation of control measures to address HSE risk and ensure monitoring and reviews for effectiveness is undertaken.

• Facilitate the communication and consultation of necessary HSE information/ lessons learned across all sites in the project.

Skills & Experience:

• 3 years experience in a high-risk industry; engineering / railway / construction

• Diploma of Work Health and Safety

• Ability to build HSE capability and safety leadership; managers employees and contractors

• Ability to influence and drive safe behaviours and performance through building effective relationships and engagement

• Demonstratable knowledge and experience of operating within ISO45001 ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems & AS/NZS is essential

• Highly proficient computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Office suite and other computer programs

• Investigator Qualification

• Agile mindset able to take prompt decisions in a challenging environment

• Demonstrates perseverance patience and commitment for long term success
