About the Role

Babcock is seeking Expressions of Interest for a unique projectfocused role that will lead the planning coordination and delivery of new aviation infrastructure on Horn Island. This position sits within a supportive and highly trusted part of the business reporting to the Head of Trade Controls Security and Facilities for overall accountability while working daytoday with the Senior Project Manager in Facilities to drive outcomes and keep the project moving.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a significant endtoend build overseeing everything from early design and construction planning through to regulatory approvals contractor management physical security requirements IT integration and ontheground coordination. Youll work closely with architects engineers contractors and internal teams to keep the project aligned resolve issues quickly and ensure the facility meets operational safety and environmental standards.

A key part of the role involves building strong relationships with local councils regulatory bodies Traditional Owners and community representatives. Youll help navigate approvals environmental considerations and compliance requirements while ensuring the needs of Aviation stakeholdersacross Operations Engineering Finance Flight Operations and Continuing Airworthinessare understood and incorporated into the final solution.

Youll also play an important role in governance and risk management preparing documentation for internal and external reviews including boardlevel reporting and gate approvals. With a continuousimprovement mindset youll look for opportunities to enhance processes strengthen delivery and contribute to a safe highperformance culture throughout the project.

To be successful you will bring

• Australian Citizen with a Defence Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain).
• Tertiary qualifications inEngineeringConstruction ManagementProject Management or a related discipline.
• Extensive experiencein infrastructure delivery capital works or construction project leadership ideally in remote or regional settings.
• Demonstrated experience instakeholder engagement including working with local councils regulatory bodies and Indigenous communities.
• Strong understanding ofAustralian building codes environmental regulations and planning approval processes.
• Proven ability to managecomplex infrastructure projectsfrom concept through to completion including budget and risk oversight.
• Ability to travel to Horn Island and other regional locations as required.
• Experience inaviation infrastructureor hangar construction.
• Familiarity withQueensland Governmentplanning and development frameworks.
