Job Summary

- Provide professional counselling in response to personal concerns affecting student study and life.
- In this short term solution focused support assist students to get back on track so have the best chance of success in both their personal and academic life.
- Liaise with other staff and stakeholders within the team and department as well as across the wider University
- Become involved in a range of initiatives including workshops and campaigns.
- You will be engaging with students face to face or by telehealth and will have the use of a university vehicle to travel between campuses when required.

You will also have:
- A four-year degree or equivalent in Psychology Social Work or other relevant area.
- A Blue Card Queenslands working with children check is required for this position if the occupant is not a registered health practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Professional registration where applicable and/or eligibility for membership of relevant professional associations.

What we can offer
This is a fixed term (until 24/11/2026) full time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. There is an option to work from home 1-2 days per week. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Salary Range
Base Salary Hew 8 in the range of $113713 - $127923 per annum plus 17% Superannuation. The salary including superannuation is in the range $133044 -$149670 per annum.
