Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Restaurant Manager to lead our Guzman Y Gomez restaurant in Glandore Adelaide. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a vibrant fast-paced dining establishment whilst delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving operational excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations leading a dynamic team and ensuring our commitment to quality service and innovation is maintained at the highest standard.

  • Lead motivate and develop a diverse team of staff fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture that encourages professional growth and career progression
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations including opening and closing procedures ensuring all health and safety compliance standards are consistently met
  • Manage financial performance by analysing sales data controlling costs and optimising profitability whilst maintaining quality standards
  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards by engaging with guests addressing concerns with empathy and ensuring every visit exceeds expectations
  • Recruit train and conduct appraisals for team members providing constructive feedback and supporting their induction and development
  • Manage inventory stock rotation and supplier relationships to ensure efficient operations and cost-effectiveness
  • Implement and monitor operational procedures policies and systems to enhance efficiency and maintain consistency across all service areas
  • Analyse performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement implementing innovative solutions to drive business growth
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations licensing requirements and organisational policies at all times
  • Communicate transparently with senior management providing regular updates on performance challenges and strategic initiatives
  • Champion the Guzman Y Gomez brand values and vision creating a welcoming environment that reflects our commitment to quality Mexican cuisine
  • Manage scheduling ensuring adequate staffing levels whilst maintaining flexibility to respond to business demands

Qualifications :

**Required Skills and Experience:**

  • Minimum 35 years experience in restaurant management or a similar senior hospitality role
  • Proven experience managing teams in a fast-casual or quick-service restaurant environment
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage P&L budgets and cost controls
  • Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to lead motivate and inspire diverse teams
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with a track record of delivering outstanding guest experiences
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities with capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with analytical skills to interpret data and drive informed decision-making
  • Resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances whilst maintaining service standards

**Desirable Qualifications:**

  • Hospitality Management qualification or equivalent professional certification
  • Food Safety Certification or equivalent food hygiene qualification
  • Knowledge of Mexican cuisine and familiarity with the Guzman Y Gomez brand values
  • Experience in staff recruitment training and performance management
  • Demonstrated commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in restaurant operations
