Were seeking a dedicated Vet Nurse to join our friendly and experienced team at Greencross Vets Noosa General Practice Urgent Care!
Formerly AEC Noosa our well-established and locally loved clinic has evolved into Greencross Vets Noosa Urgent Care. Gain exposure to emergency cases and work alongside mentors who will help you build the skills without the overnight shifts! We now offer a more sustainable and community-focused model combining a high standard of general practice with convenient walk-in urgent care.
This new approach allows us to provide more consistent and reliable care to our patients while creating a balanced and rewarding workplace for our team.
In your role youll play a key part in:
Triage and stabilisation of urgent cases
Delivering high-quality GP nursing care
Performing minor procedures when required and assisting veterinarians as needed
Monitoring patient vital signs and administering medications
Performing diagnostic tests including bloodwork radiography and ultrasound
Handling client enquiries professionally in person by email and over the phone
Our roster offers a mix of General Practice and Urgent Care shifts:
GP hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am 6:00pm Saturday 8:00am 12:30pm Urgent Care: Monday to Friday 1:00pm 11:00pm or 5pm 11pm weekends 8:00am 6:00pm
About you:
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and min. 2 years of clinical experience
An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
Emergency and critical care experience advantageous but not essential
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
Confidence in monitoring anaesthesia
Ability to work well autonomously and also within a team environment
