Modern Workplace Lead Engineer (Level 3)

As the Modern Workplace Lead Engineer (Level 3) you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of secure reliable and high-performing end-user computing services across the organisation by managing and optimising all modern workplace technologies. The role focuses on device configuration compliance security OS lifecycle management and application packaging/deployment across Windows macOS iOS/iPadOS and Android providing a consistent and seamless technology experience for all users.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Act as the subject matter expert for all end-user technology providing advanced support troubleshooting new capability and technical guidance for complex technical issues
• Lead and manage escalations from the JB Hi-Fi Group performing in-depth diagnostics and remediation for complex end-user technology issues; triage and resolve major incidents coordinate emergency changes with rollback and drive problem management corrective/preventive actions and knowledge base/runbook updates
• Manage the Standard Operating Environments (SOE) across the Group including Support Office and retail stores using Intune and SCCM including policies configurations security compliance remediation and certificate management
• Provide oversight and governance for operational processes including onboarding/offboarding complex user issue resolution and adherence to security and compliance standards
• Maintain documentation knowledge articles and operational standards to ensure consistent delivery and knowledge sharing within the team

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Experience in technical leadership leading other technologists and helping them grow and learn technologically.
• 3 years experience as the subject matter expert in architecting and implementing M365 technologies including Intune Modern Managed Devices; as part of an End User Computing or Modern Workplace technologies team.
• 3 years experience in a mixed Intune/SCCM/co-managed environments managing desktop Standard Operating Environments (SOE) Microsoft 365 modern collaboration tools and endpoint security & compliance.
• Tertiary qualifications in IT Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Expert in Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager Autopilot Windows Update for Business Entra ID RBAC and SCCM/MECM administration including co-management collections content and servicing.
• Experience with ITIL service Management tools including ServiceNow Jira or ZenDesk.
• Proven incident/problem management and change governance leadership.

Additionally you will ideally have experience with:

• PowerShell and Graph API proficiency for automation and mass remediation
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD102)
• Security/Identity certifications (e.g. SC900/SC200/SC300) and/or Azure Administrator (AZ104)
• Exposure to macOS iOS/Android MDM nuances and certificate lifecycle (SCEP/PKCS)
• Familiarity with Australian Essential Eight and ISO 27001 controls
