Job Summary
The Technical Reliability Engineer - Engines will be the representative of Liebherr Components Colmar (COC) Engineering Organisation to observe and support the operation of Liebherr Engines in Australia. The role reports to the Components global R&D organisation and local (Australian) components management. The role covers the support field validation R&D of engines and engine repowers ensuring optimal engine performance problem identification root causes analysis rectification and reporting.
This position is available nationally at one of our mining branches - Perth Mackay Mt Thorley or Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities
Effective engagement with internal stakeholders to manage and mitigate risks relevant to the product (e.g. Engines) and customer relationships. Including but not limited to:
- Providing technical solutions to reliability and performance issues
- Ensure all technical notifications campaigns are received and understood by applicable stakeholders
- Act as the direct technical liaison between field operations and COC
- Providing relevant education associated with the technical information
- Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive support and communication
Expert technical engineering guidance feedback and support to COC R&D team and Liebherr customers
- Observe engine performance and collect operational data
- Expert diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Oversee maintenance practices
- Conduct failure analysis and report findings
- Support field testing and validation of new components
- Facilitate root cause analysis and change implementation
- Facilitate knowledge transfer between engineering teams and field operations
- Report technical issues and share diagnostic data
About you
- Tertiary qualification - mechanical engineering
- Practical experience on engine maintenance at large opencut mine operations
- Several years of experience as an Engineer in a mining ormaintenance department
- Several years of experience as an Engineer in the manufacturing industry
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally when required
