How will your ideas contribute to shaping whats next

Were looking for a Senior Sustainability Engineer to join our Buildings team in Melbourne or Adelaide. This role is ideal for an experienced sustainability professional who enjoys technical delivery client interaction and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary design teams.

Youll play a key role in delivering holistic sustainability outcomes across a diverse portfolio of projects supporting low carbon building design performance modelling sustainability ratings decarbonisation pathways and integrated sustainability strategies. This is a senior technical contributor role with opportunities to mentor junior team members and support project and client leadership - without requiring formal people management.

Here are the key things you will do to bring ideas to life:

• Deliver sustainability and ESD consulting services across buildings projects from early-stage design through to delivery
• Contribute to and deliver certification pathways including Green Star and where relevant NABERS WELL LEED ISCA and Passive House
• Provide sustainability advice on best practice building design low carbon strategies and performance optimisation
• Undertake and review building performance modelling including energy thermal and daylight modelling
• Prepare and review Section J and JV3 assessments ESD reports and Sustainable Management Plans
• Collaborate closely with architects façade building services and structural engineers to develop integrated design outcomes
• Support senior team members with project delivery client engagement and business development activities
• Mentor and guide junior sustainability professionals through project work and technical development
• Contribute to a positive collaborative team culture focused on quality innovation and learning

What were looking for:

• 510 years experience in sustainability / ESD consulting within the built environment with demonstrated capability operating independently on projects.
• Degree qualified in Engineering Architecture or a related discipline
• Green Star Accredited Professional with experience delivering Green Star projects
• Strong technical capability in sustainable building design low carbon strategies and energy efficient systems
• Experience delivering sustainability ratings such as NABERS WELL LEED ISCA or Passive House (desirable)
• Demonstrated expertise in building performance modelling including energy thermal and daylight modelling
• Capability to prepare and review Section J JV3 assessments ESD reports and Sustainable Management Plans
• Comfortable working collaboratively within multidisciplinary design teams and engaging with clients
• Able to work independently on complex technical tasks while mentoring junior team members and contributing to project delivery
