Job Summary

About the opportunity

We are seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to the development of research protocols and drive the execution of research activities. The role involves coordinating grant applications managing data analysis providing research-related advice and collaborating with researchers and stakeholders to ensure effective research delivery and documentation.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • contribute to the design and development of research protocols ensuring timely execution of research activities

  • coordinate and submit grant applications ensuring compliance with all requirements

  • provide guidance on research regulations policies and procedures ensuring projects align with standards

  • assist with data collection and analysis ensuring data quality and accuracy

  • collaborate with researchers clinical specialists and affiliated partners to share findings and progress

  • manage the documentation process for research publications from drafting to submission and maintain comprehensive research records

  • facilitate ongoing communication with a broad range of stakeholders proactively addressing concerns and collaborating with team members to improve stakeholder relations

  • undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.

About you

  • tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience

  • knowledge of and ability to assist with pre-clinical models

  • experience coordinating and/or managing grant application processes and research administration

  • experience conducting scientific literature searches and managing research data

  • experience in people management including staff performance and development

  • experience working in a research-intensive environment and in the higher education sector

  • skills in data analysis organisation and time management attention to detail research software computer literacy communication customer service and teamwork.
