JOB TITLE: Case Management Coordinator
TEAM/PROGRAMME: Refugees and MigrantsLOCATION: Giza and Cairo Governorates
GRADE: 5CONTRACT DURATION: Until December 2026 upon the availability of fund.
ChildSafeguarding: Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

Save the Children International is the worlds leading independent organisation for work in more than 100 countries and work together with our partners to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their Egypt Save the Children International has been working to ensure that childrens rights are respected protected and promoted since 1982. We carry out both long-term development work and more recently emergency humanitarian work. This project aims to extend support to unaccompanied and separated refugee asylum seeker or migrant children living in Giza and Cairo governorates through comprehensive child protection education livelihood and mental health and psychosocial support interventions.

ROLE PURPOSE: This position will be in a close and timely contact with caseworkers and the whole team is overseen and led by the Senior Child Protection officer. The CM team is entitled to provide case management services to UASC refugee and migrant children.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Senior Child Protection Officer

Staff who are in close contact and working with this position: 4 caseworkers

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Project Implementation

Follow up with caseworkers to conduct individual assessment interviews and draft relevant forms to assess the childrens needs.

Support the Senior CP Officer to provide full case management support to individual children.

Ensure proper Counselling of UASC (unaccompanied and separated children) on the assessment procedures and services provided.

Coordinate with the Senior CP Officer to ensure Conducting a Best Interest Assessment (BIA) and where applicable Best Interest Determination (BID) for identified children (when applicable).

Follow up on development and implementation of detailed care plans.

Support Senior Officer in reviewing the Best Interest Assessments drafted by caseworkers.

Make timely referrals to appropriate services and coordinating with partner organisations.

Ensure accompaniments are conducted with children when necessary to external appointments with service providers.

Actively participate in the case management internal coordination meetings led by the CP TA.

Accountable for monitoring and following up on SCI case management reporting system to ensure that data are up to date.

Update monthly records regularly and preparing periodic reports on caseload.

Follow up and monitor extension of services for individual cases.

Ensure case management is implemented in-line with Save the Childrens policies and procedures and adhere to donor requirements and guidelines.

Accountable for ensuring proper data gathering and data accuracy ensuring that the project CM data base is regularly up to date.

Regularly update the project case management component tracker.

Accountable for compiling concise quantitative and qualitative reports on a monthly and quarterly basis from other SCI CM teams including.

Support the program teams as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Psychology Sociology Development Political Science related studies.

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in development/humanitarian aid.

Previous experience in child protection programming is a must.

Proficiency in Arabic and English written and spoken.

Awareness about the security context and political situation in Egypt for refugees and migrants.

Desirable:

Previous experience working with refugees.

Previous experience working with NGOs.
