As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the EMEA Last Mile Regulatory Reporting team within Corporate Technology youlead a team of software engineers and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your teams work adheres to compliance standards business requirements and tactical best practices.

Job responsibilities

• Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
• Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output practices and collaboration
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
• Manages stakeholder relationships and the teams work in accordance with compliance standards service level agreements and business requirements
• Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Creates a culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
• Experience leading technology projects
• Experience managing technologists
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
• Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s) databases Python etc.
• Practical cloud native experience experience with AWS/Databricks
