Position:

Chief Accountant

Department: Finance
Reports to: Assistant Director of Finance

Chief Accountant

We are currently seeking a Chief Accountant to join the Shangri-La Kyoto Finance team.
In this role you will maintain the General Ledger prepare accurate and timely financial and operating statements analyze variances and reconcile balance sheet accounts handle tax and audit procedures and manage multiple full sets of management accounts including HFM headquarters reporting and IFRS conversions from JGAAP.

• Maintain full sets of management accounts

Requirements

• Proficiency in written and spoken Japanese and English
• Good computer literacy
• Background or training in accounting
• University degree in Accounting or Finance (Desirable)
• At least 5 years of experience in an accounting position
• Knowledge of Japanese GAAP and tax law
• 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hotel industry (Desirable)
• Honest and disciplined
• Neat systematic and analytical
• Strong communication skills
• Team oriented
• Selfmotivated and able to work independently(Desirable)
• Strong interpersonal skills(Desirable)
• Ability to work long or irregular hours when necessary
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems and point of sales systems
• General understanding of hotel operations(Desirable)

総勘定元帳の管理をはじめ正確かつタイムリーな財務運営レポートの作成差異分析および貸借対照表科目の照合作業をご担当いただきますさらに税務監査対応に加えHFM本社レポーティングJGAAP から IFRS への換算など複数の管理会計セットの運用を担っていただきます

応募資格

• 日本語および英語での読み書きと会話ができる方
• 基本的なPCスキルをお持ちの方
• 会計分野での学習または実務的なトレーニング経験がある方
• 会計学またはファイナンスの学位をお持ちの方歓迎
• 会計関連の職務経験があり目安として5年以上の実務経験をお持ちの方
• 日本の会計基準GAAPおよび税務知識をお持ちの方
• ホテル業界での類似した職務経験が2年以上ある方歓迎
