Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to support perioperative patient care in a fast-paced operating room this role you will function as a scrub assistant during surgical and invasive procedures ensuring the availability and proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment.

Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse you will apply your clinical expertise to maintain a sterile environment support surgical teams and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare maintain and monitor the sterile field during surgical procedures
• Function as a scrub assistant for a variety of operative and invasive procedures
• Ensure proper preparation and availability of surgical instruments and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies efficiently
• Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
• Assist with patient positioning draping and intraoperative support
• Collaborate with surgeons nurses and other surgical team members
• Perform instrument counts and ensure proper handling before during and after procedures
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Serve as a resource and mentor to team members as needed

Required Experience & Skills

• Hands-on experience in the following specialties:
  • General Surgery
  • Gynecology (GYN)
  • Ear Nose & Throat (ENT)
  • Orthopedics
  • Urology
  • Vascular Surgery
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgical systems (e.g. Mako Robotics)
• Strong understanding of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure fast-paced operating room environment

Preferred Experience

• Neurospine surgical procedures
• Pediatric surgical experience

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (preferred)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential (preferred if applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if required)
