Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to support perioperative patient care in a fast-paced operating room this role you will function as a scrub assistant during surgical and invasive procedures ensuring the availability and proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse you will apply your clinical expertise to maintain a sterile environment support surgical teams and contribute to high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare maintain and monitor the sterile field during surgical procedures
Function as a scrub assistant for a variety of operative and invasive procedures
Ensure proper preparation and availability of surgical instruments and equipment
Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies efficiently
Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Assist with patient positioning draping and intraoperative support
Collaborate with surgeons nurses and other surgical team members
Perform instrument counts and ensure proper handling before during and after procedures
Maintain compliance with hospital policies safety standards and regulatory requirements
Serve as a resource and mentor to team members as needed
Required Experience & Skills
Hands-on experience in the following specialties:
General Surgery
Gynecology (GYN)
Ear Nose & Throat (ENT)
Orthopedics
Urology
Vascular Surgery
Experience with robotic-assisted surgical systems (e.g. Mako Robotics)
Strong understanding of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure fast-paced operating room environment
Preferred Experience
Neurospine surgical procedures
Pediatric surgical experience
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (preferred)
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential (preferred if applicable)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if required)
