Job Summary for Product Designer (Dearborn MI):
- Collaborate with software architects data engineers and product managers to design data-driven user experiences and interfaces.
- Develop multimedia content including product demos video storytelling and interactive designs.
- Conduct user research interviews surveys and workshops to define user personas use cases goals and pain points.
- Identify document and manage product requirements ensuring adherence to best practices and requirements traceability.
- Map and optimize business and user processes using tools like Swim Lane Diagrams and Value Stream Maps (VSMs).
- Design product visuals prototypes user flows/journeys wireframes and design boards to communicate planned functionality.
- Review and iterate wireframes and prototypes with users to ensure usability and intuitive design.
- Perform usability testing (heuristic reviews A/B testing walk-throughs) and application testing to validate requirements and user experience.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve product functionality and design.
- Assist in the creation of training materials for end users.
- Apply knowledge of accessibility guidelines (e.g. WCAG Veterans With Disabilities Act) to ensure inclusive design.
- Develop and maintain design styles and style guides.
- Utilize Agile methodology and design thinking principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Analyze competitors and perform financial analysis to inform design decisions.
- Communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and support launch processes with clear documentation and insights.
