Competencies and skills:

Ontology taxonomy and controlled vocabulary development
Classification/indexing
Knowledge of W3C semantic web standards: SKOS RDF OWL
Data catalog analysis and metadata best practices
Metadata standards: ANSI/NISO Z39.19-2005 Dublin Core/DCMI ISO familiarity
Experience with taxonomy and knowledge management tools such as Synaptica Graphite PoolParty Semaphore etc.
Ideal candidate would have background in library or information science

Responsibilities and tasks:

Create an inventory of metadata across various metadata systems
Index/tag data assets with tags (e.g. domains subdomains source)
Collaborate on and implement new naming standards for data products in Databricks
