Responsibilities
- Analyze and document complex clinical workflows in inpatient outpatient and ancillary care settings
- Translate clinical and operational requirements into robust technical specifications for data extraction reporting and analytics
- Design develop test and optimize Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts within Cerner Millennium environments
- Lead data extraction validation and reconciliation from Cerner Millennium Oracle schemas
- Manage enterprise-wide EHR data migration and legacy system retirement efforts
- Develop and support structured data feeds flat file extracts and ETL processes to ensure data integrity
- Troubleshoot and resolve CCL performance and data integration issues
- Act as a liaison between clinical informatics stakeholders and technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of clinical intent
- Clearly communicate technical constraints and system dependencies to non-technical audiences
- Execute and tune CCL scripts manage batch jobs and support production and non-production environments
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 11 years experience in clinical workflows and healthcare operations
- Demonstrated history with large-scale EHR implementations migrations or optimization initiatives
- Advanced hands-on expertise with Cerner Command Language (CCL) and Cerner Millennium architecture
- Strong Oracle database SQL Linux and enterprise data extraction/migration experience
- Proficiency in designing/supporting ETL processes and healthcare data integrations
- Experience with REST/SOA development distributed systems networking and performance tuning
- Proven ability to write execute and tune CCL scripts in production
- Hands-on experience with Python Java Perl C C OCI and public cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP OCI)
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in Cerner Millennium environments
- Background as a senior Cerner consultant or technical lead
