Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format): Data Engineering Consultant
- Location: Sacramento CA (Hybrid)
- Duration: Long term
### Responsibilities:
- Design develop and optimize Oracle SQL/PL-SQL queries analytical models tools and programs.
- Interpret business data requirements and translate them into complex SQL and PL/SQL solutions.
- Support high-volume time-sensitive data extract requests for internal program areas legal audit and public reporting needs.
- Extract transform and validate data for various enterprise customers.
- Develop and support data marts particularly for Pension data to fulfill recurring business requests.
- Ensure timely delivery of business data requests (70-80 per month) within a 10-day SLA.
- Collaborate with business divisions to deliver ad hoc business data requests.
- Participate in the phased design development and validation of analytics-focused data marts.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and documentation through established processes utilizing tools such as ServiceNow and Data Request Library.
- Record report and resolve data issues identified during request fulfillment.
- Adhere to best practices in business intelligence change management project management and SDLC.
### Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing and developing analytical models tools or programs using Oracle tools.
- At least 5 years of experience interpreting requirements and developing complex SQL and PL/SQL.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to solve complex problems and visualize data sets.
- Experience in Pension Health Insurance Customer Service Finance and/or Risk domains.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to transfer knowledge/document processes.
