Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format): Data Visualization & Dashboard Developer
- Design & Develop BI Solutions: Create and implement Business Intelligence (BI) reports dashboards and semantic layers using Microsoft Power BI based on requirements from business stakeholders.
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business users to interpret and confirm data and reporting requirements ensuring solutions meet business needs.
- Semantic Layer Development: Build and maintain complex semantic layers translating intricate database structures and business calculations into user-friendly business-oriented data fields.
- Data Visualization: Develop and deliver clear intuitive visualizations (charts graphs maps tables) to communicate business metrics patterns and trends for improved decision-making.
- Platform Modernization & Automation: Contribute to the modernization of the BI data platform integrating automation and supporting technology enhancements to enable business objectives.
- System Maintenance & Operations: Maintain update and enhance existing BI reporting systems ensuring system reliability performance and seamless functionality.
- Functional Administration: Manage BI environment administration tasks including user accounts server maintenance role assignments and code promotions across production and non-production environments.
- Documentation & Support: Update technical specifications troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support for BI solutions and reporting systems.
- Knowledge Transfer: Document work processes project details and deliver knowledge transfer sessions to ensure state staff are trained and informed on all deliverables and system changes.
- Compliance with Best Practices: Apply IT business intelligence project management and change management best practices throughout all development and support activities.
- Domain Expertise: Leverage experience in Pension Health Insurance Customer Service Finance and/or Risk domains to deliver relevant and effective BI solutions.
- Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in Power BI development administration data modeling and domain-specific reporting with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
