About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Accounting and Finance to lead key financial functions in a hybrid role based in New Jersey.

This leadership position is responsible for overseeing financial accounting reporting planning and forecasting while ensuring the integrity of financial systems processes and controls. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and business leaders to drive financial insights improve operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting experience in digital business models and the ability to lead teams while optimizing systems and processes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day financial operations ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and systems
• Manage and mentor accounting staff ensuring timely and accurate completion of month-end close and reconciliations
• Oversee financial reporting planning and forecasting processes
• Review financial transactions sales contracts and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Partner with business and vertical leaders to support budgeting forecasting and decision-making
• Develop financial models to support strategic planning and performance analysis
• Drive process improvements and implement systems to enhance efficiency and scalability
• Oversee internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and lead special projects as required

What You Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 10 years of professional accounting experience with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP FASB and technical accounting standards
• Experience working in digital media or with digital revenue models is a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting systems such as PeopleSoft or similar
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
