An established and high-performing legal practice is seeking a seasoned Senior Trial Attorney to take full ownership of complex personal injury and products liability cases. This is a critical high-impact role designed for a courtroom-ready litigator who can independently manage cases from intake through verdict while driving strategy execution and outcomes.
You will step into an active docket and play a key role in maximizing case value leading trial preparation and delivering successful verdicts and settlements. This position offers autonomy responsibility and the opportunity to directly influence financial outcomes through a performance-driven compensation model.
Key Responsibilities:
Litigation & Trial
Independently manage personal injury and products liability cases from filing through verdict
Serve as first-chair trial attorney in jury trials
Develop case strategy evaluate liability and drive resolution
Case Management
Maintain full ownership of an independent docket
Oversee medical treatment coordination and client progress
Retain and collaborate with liability medical economic and engineering experts
Take and defend depositions including expert and corporate representative depositions (Rule 30(b)(6) or equivalent)
Draft argue and respond to dispositive motions
Lead mediation settlement negotiations and trial preparation
Leadership & Collaboration
Supervise paralegals legal assistants and case managers
Ensure strong client communication and expectation management
Maintain disciplined docket control and meet critical deadlines
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Litigation & Trial Experience
Minimum 5 years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience
Strong focus on products liability cases
First-chair experience in at least five (5) jury trials
Proven ability to take cases from intake through verdict
Technical & Case Management Skills
Experience managing an independent caseload
Hands-on medical case management experience
Extensive experience working with expert witnesses across disciplines
Proven track record in depositions motion practice and trial preparation
Professional Competencies
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and case management skills
Excellent client communication and relationship management
Willingness to travel for depositions hearings and trials
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary up to $200000 (based on experience and trial record)
Performance-based percentage of recoveries
