Role: Network Engineer (Cisco / Palo Alto)

Location: Dallas TX

Type of Employment: Contract-to-Hire

Contract Duration: 06 Months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Network Engineer to design implement and support enterprise network infrastructure across corporate data center and cloud environments. This role focuses on Cisco (Meraki Nexus) and Palo Alto firewalls to ensure secure scalable and high-performing networks.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and support Cisco Meraki (MX MR MS) networks and wireless infrastructure
Administer Cisco Nexus/MDS for data center operations
Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls (VPNs security policies)
Troubleshoot network issues and ensure high availability
Support network modernization cloud connectivity and documentation
Collaborate with teams and mentor junior engineers

Required Skills:

Strong experience with Cisco Meraki Nexus/MDS and Palo Alto
Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP OSPF EIGRP) DNS DHCP IPsec
Experience with network troubleshooting and monitoring tools
Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) or Palo Alto (PCNSE) certifications
Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred:

Experience with AWS/Azure networking and NAC/802.1x
