Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst Healthcare

Location: St. Paul Minnesota (Onsite/Remote Flexibility)
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: 40 hours/week Core hours 9 AM 5 PM (Occasional weekends)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial operations planning and performance analysis within a healthcare environment.

This role is ideal for someone who excels in financial modeling reporting and strategic analysis and enjoys working cross-functionally to improve financial processes and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Support annual and quarterly financial planning and forecasting
• Develop financial models and provide insights for business decision-making
• Analyze financial performance and identify improvement opportunities

Reporting & Insights

• Prepare and support monthly operating performance reviews
• Track key metrics and develop performance dashboards/scorecards
• Deliver ad-hoc financial and operational analysis

Business Support

• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes
• Assist in building business cases and ROI analysis
• Provide training on financial tools and reporting interpretation

Data & Process Improvement

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial systems
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
• Monitor outcomes and suggest optimization strategies

Required Skills & Experience

• 4 years of experience in financial analysis or business operations
• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare domain
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Financial planning & forecasting
  • Financial modeling and analysis
  • Healthcare financial processes (billing reimbursement)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query Pivot Tables Macros)
• Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with financial tools like Infor Cerner or similar systems
• Experience with Power BI
• Advanced degree (MBA) or certifications (CPA/CMA)

Education

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field
• Equivalent experience will also be considered
