Job Summary
Role: Broadband Triage Engineer
Location: Philadelphia PA (Onsite)
Duration: Full-Time (Permanent)
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and high-quality software releases across multiple devices by:
- Monitoring metrics and alerting systems
- Responding to critical field issues
- Identifying root causes and implementing fixes
- Troubleshoot end-to-end (E2E) issues in broadband devices including:
- WiFi / Mesh
- DOCSIS
- Fiber
- LTE and similar access technologies
- Perform source code reviews to identify issues within components and platform
- Diagnose and resolve issues using:
- Linux systems
- Networking protocols
- Packet capture analysis
- Design and improve operational tools
- Architect DevOps solutions to enhance system performance
- Use AWS technologies such as:
- S3
- Athena
- QuickSight
to analyze large-scale device data and generate insights
- Develop anomaly detection techniques and data-driven solutions
- Perform global metric comparisons across device models
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong programming experience in:
- C / C
- Python
- Strong experience with Linux systems
- Experience with log management and monitoring tools:
- ELK Stack
- Splunk
- Grafana
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language:
- Bash
- Python
- Go
- Experience with:
- Defect tracking tools (Jira)
- Source control tools (Git GitHub)
- SQL and/or Amazon Athena
Additional Expectations:
- Experience in technical leadership or mentoring
- Ability to make strong technical decisions and influence others
