Litigation Paralegal

Established downtown law firm is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal with a minimum of five years experience supporting a busy civil litigation practice. Responsibilities and skills include preparation of and responding to discovery on pending litigation; document management and organization; analysis of documents and preparation of same for production; preparing draft judicial council forms for various court-related hearings; preparing attorneys for depositions including preparation of exhibits handling of exhibits during remote depositions summarizing of deposition transcripts; all aspects of trial preparation; communicating with firm personnel clients vendors and other third parties; competency in software applications including word processing document management software spreadsheet and database management e-discovery timekeeping and forms programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years litigation experience
• Working knowledge of general legal concepts terminology and principles
• Good project management skills
• Attention to detail time management good judgment and solid organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• High degree of professionalism
• Experience in law firm practice groups
• Knowledge of e-discovery software (preferably Disco)
• Knowledge/understanding of document management systems preferably iManage
• Bachelors degree and/or Paralegal certification (prefer both)

California pay range for this role with final offer amount commensurate with skillset and experience is $34.62 to $43.27 per hour
