Job Title: Data Engineering & Analytics Lead/SME (Microsoft Fabric / Power BI)

Location: NJ (Hybrid) one day only

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineering & Analytics Lead to oversee delivery operations and execution across Data Engineering Power BI/Analytics and Microsoft Fabric platforms. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strong program coordination ensuring scalable data solutions and reliable production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Agile Delivery

• Lead daily standups across Fabric Data Engineering and Power BI teams
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all Data Engineering and Analytics initiatives
• Drive Agile execution sprint planning and backlog prioritization across multiple workstreams

Program & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with business stakeholders across Health Services Finance Operations Compliance and Analytics
• Lead recurring sprint and business alignment calls to ensure delivery transparency and prioritization
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate deliverables with external partners

Data Engineering & Platform Oversight

• Oversee design development and support of data pipelines and analytics solutions
• Lead Microsoft Fabric initiatives including Bronze Silver and Gold data layer architecture
• Drive data integration efforts including inbound/outbound file processing and system integrations

Operational Excellence

• Monitor and manage production support for 150 jobs (SQL Server Agent GoAnywhere)
• Ensure timely resolution of job failures performance issues and data incidents
• Collaborate with offshore teams to maintain 24/7 support coverage

Governance & Optimization

• Manage Azure DevOps (ADO) boards across Data Engineering Analytics Compliance and Fabric
• Drive SQL Server modernization and technical debt reduction initiatives
• Improve pipeline performance scalability and monitoring frameworks
• Implement best practices for CI/CD version control and deployment using ADO and GitHub

Team Management & Mentorship

• Conduct regular 1:1 check-ins with team members to track progress and remove blockers
• Provide technical guidance design oversight and mentoring to engineering and analytics teams

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in Data Engineering Analytics or related roles
• Strong experience with SQL Server SSIS and data pipeline development
• Hands-on experience with Power BI (development and administration)
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or modern cloud data platforms
• Proven experience managing Agile teams and working with Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Experience supporting production environments and handling data operations at scale

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare or regulated industry data environments
• Familiarity with GoAnywhere or similar managed file transfer tools
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and GitHub-based version control
• Experience leading distributed/onshore-offshore teams
