We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a rehabilitation team on a 13-week contract. The PTA will work closely with Physical Therapists to support patient treatment plans promote mobility and enhance functional independence within a skilled nursing and long-term care environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Support patient rehabilitation activities focusing on strength mobility and functional improvement.
- Document patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with facility standards.
- Assist in maintaining a safe clean and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients families and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional guidelines.
- Active and unrestricted state PTA license.
- Minimum of less than 1 year of experience in a related setting (SNF or LTC preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a care team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Standard daytime schedule.
- No holiday coverage required.
- Open to candidates meeting all licensure and experience requirements.
