A Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapy treatments that support patient rehabilitation mobility and functional independence.
Assignment Details- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Hours: 30 hours per week guaranteed
- Schedule: Varies
- Licensure: Must hold an active state PTA license at the time of submission
- Experience Required: Less than 1 year of experience accepted
- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises functional training and mobility interventions
- Document patient progress accurately and in compliance with facility standards
- Educate patients and families on exercises safety and rehabilitation goals
- Maintain a safe treatment environment and comply with facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient care
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and therapy equipment
- Ability to follow and carry out treatment plans effectively
- Strong communication and patient-interaction skills
- Ability to work independently and within a clinical team
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Compliance with facility onboarding and orientation requirements
