Physical Therapist

Full-Time Day Shift
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Location: Covenant Hobbs Hospital

Athena Health Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care through comprehensive assessment treatment planning and therapeutic interventions.

The Physical Therapist will work both independently and collaboratively providing care tailored to each patients unique needs while supporting their families through education and guidance.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility function and quality of life
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans exercises and recovery strategies
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
• Demonstrate proper therapeutic techniques and monitor patient progress
• Work independently while seeking supervisory guidance when appropriate

Required:

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Active New Mexico Physical Therapist License (or eligibility upon hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred:

• 2 years of rehabilitation experience
• Specialized experience in neonatal therapy (for applicable acute care roles)
