Job Summary
5th Grade ELA & Social Studies Teacher
Southwest Elementary Clinton Public Schools
Southwest Elementary is seeking a professional 5th Grade Educatorto teachEnglish Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies. Reporting to Principal April Miner the successful candidate will join a collaborative 2nd5th grade faculty dedicated to academic rigor and student growth.
Primary Responsibilities
ELA Instruction:Advanced reading comprehension vocabulary development and evidence-based writing aligned with Oklahoma Academic Standards.
Social Studies Instruction:U.S. History geography and civics.
Curriculum Management: Maintain lesson plans assessments and data tracking for both subject areas.
Differentiated Learning: Tailor instruction to meet diverse learner profiles ensuring equitable growth in literacy and critical thinking.
Professional Collaboration: Actively participate in grade-level PLCs and coordinate with Math/Science partners to ensure a cohesive student experience.
Communication: Maintain professional proactive partnerships with families regarding student progress and classroom goals.
Qualifications
Licensure: Valid Oklahoma Standard Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education.
Education: Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
Expertise: Strong command of upper-elementary pedagogy and the ability to manage subject-matter transitions effectively.
