Job Summary
Title: Paralegal
Location: Phoenix AZ 85040 (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months
Hybrid role - in office approximately 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday)
The person in this role is responsible for providing Paralegal support with Medicaid state fair hearings to ensure compliance with federal and state standards.
Duties:
The paralegal will handle state fair hearing projects including file review and updating hearing databases. Triage incoming mail such as state fair hearing requests motions orders and other mail to ensure matters are addressed timely and within federal and state requirements.
Process incoming mail as needed to support team objectives and ensure compliance. Assist the lead attorney with other projects as needed.
Experience:
3 to 5 years of related work experience including at least 3 years of experience with litigation matters. Bachelors Degree preferred;
Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an American Bar Association-approved institution required.
Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare is helpful. Strong knowledge of legal terminology and concepts.
Strong skills working with Microsoft Office products including Word Excel Outlook and Adobe and general skills working in databases for data entry. Strong independent reasoning skills strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to learn concepts quickly and work independently with high-quality output.
Must be able to perform tasks that include extensive use of the computer for reviewing electronic documents generating electronic documents and entering data into databases.
