Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st Timers are accepted Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics Certifications Required: BLS ACLS General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Medical Surgical ICU with diagnoses to include but not limited to Sepsis/Severe Sepsis/Septic shock Respiratory Failure/Pulmonary diseases S/P Cardiac Arrest GI bleed/ Hemorrhagic shock DKA Acute Kidney Disease Complicated surgery cases (perforations) Pulmonary Edema Pulmonary embolus Drug Overdose - intentional and accidental Hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia Hypertensive Emergencies Cardiac arrhythmias Rhabdomyolysis Metabolic Encephalopathy Malignant neoplasms; CRRT Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy TTM Targeted Temperature Management Chest Tubes Bronchoscopies Lumbar Punctures I&Ds Central line insertion assistance Central line and arterial line maintenance Peritoneal Dialysis Continuous Bladder irrigations Continuous IV infusions (pressors paralytics sedatives cardiac) Ratio / Census: 1:2-3; 15 beds with 13 rooms and average daily census of 12 Unit Systems: Epic (Required) Pyxis SBAR Scrub Color: Navy Blue RTO: MAX 7 days RTO Blackout Dates: Spring Break (April 4th-12th) Weekends: Every other weekend unless otherwise specified Floating: Yes within facility/scope of practice as needed Call Requirements: None Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
