Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a growing team supporting industrial and commercial projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates reviewing project specifications and supporting pre-construction efforts across multiple mechanical scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical projects (HVAC insulation coatings piping etc.)
- Review drawings specifications and bid documents
- Perform quantity take-offs and pricing analysis
- Collaborate with project managers vendors and subcontractors for pricing
- Assist in bid preparation and proposal submissions
- Evaluate project risks timelines and material requirements
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
Required Qualifications
- 3 8 years of experience in mechanical estimating
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC piping insulation etc.)
- Experience with takeoff and estimating tools (Bluebeam Excel etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial or commercial construction projects
- Familiarity with coatings fireproofing or related scopes
- Prior experience working with subcontractors and vendors
